I think you should just stick with Blackberry Simon, I don't find the niggles you have with the iPhone to be an issue, but we have different usage, all we need to do is find you another gadget to get

new OS may make all the difference Simon, i'll look at the N8 when it comes out, be good for Justina to enter the technology age but I fear that all she would want is an abacus, she is not a gadget girl
