Really hoping this gets resolved soon, trying out my connection 20 times a day just to find out it doesn't work.. :(

ou7shined

Well my internet is still displaying the lifesigns of a dodo. That's 3 nights on the trot without access now. I'm beginning to wonder if paying IDNet for a "priority" service is actually worth it. Before I phone support again has anyone had any news at all? How many of us are affected by this?
I had a look on thinkBB only to find the only scrap of info on the subject was one of my own posts from this thread quoted slightly out of contex. ::)

So the reason for the pants service is they're having problems with their bras. Keep us posted with more underwear related updates.  ;D

Could you post any news in this thread too please Ray. I'm keeping this page active on my mobile so I can stay up to date without having to keep navigating all over the place on my slow connection.

Erm that was me that posted the info on Think Broadband but i don't know how it was out of context?!
Anyway, its not IDNet with the issue its BT, all IDNet can do is keep pressuring BT.

You'll be hard pushed to find better support than IDNet.

Simon

Let's hope they're all badgering BT to get it fixed.

Looks like they have shifted something i am getting internet access its 8mb instead of 17mb but at lease its working.

Looks like my IP changed ...I'm guessing the issue is still ongoing as my speed did drop from about 39 Mbit to 17, but it's working so not complaining! hope the speeds resolve to maximum as well in a few days

Mine's back up too but only at 4457 Kbps and my pings are double what they were the last time I checked. Still at least I've go something. :D
I'm gonna power down my router for a bit to see if anything improves.

I don't get notifications to my phone. Idnetters notifications always go to my spam folder (I don't know why) and I don't know how to get to my spam folder from my phone.

Don't know which your using but if you can set up as IMAP you should be able to see all folders. Well I can on the IPhone so should be possible on any other phone as we are often reminded of it's limitations on here

I would have thought it was just a matter of adding IDNetters to the white list, but I don't know what your email set up is.

i am back to 164 Kbps ah the never ending joy 2 weeks of unusable internet

I'm experiencing what I can only describe as "throttling". I am synced at 6 megs but pages are taking a few seconds to load - which I guess is an improvement over the last few days but an indication that the fault is still present.

It's Gmail and no matter how many times I tell it that it is not spam certian IDNetter threads end up in the spam folder. It's normally not much of a problem, unless I have no internet access via my PC.

still on sub dialup speeds here  :(

Ronin

Have many people got a working connection again ?
or is it still erratic ?
Just looking to see the bigger picture and hope its not just my connection has been left behind.

Cheers

Steve

Can you manage a BT speedtest and post results

I have been having problems since the 28th June just after the last BT disconnect since then my speed has been atrocious, IDnet support have been fine but BT have claimed they saw no problem , then saw it, fixed it etc etc so it has ping ponged back and forth with BT for the last two weeks until the latest big BT problem.

I normally sinc at 21 mb and download at 17mb on a rock solid connection.
Yesterday for the first time i was getting 8mb then back to sub dial up.

This is my average  speed over the last two weeks.

Download speed achieved during the test was - 144 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 1000-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :9724 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 992 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 8000 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 16.67:22.92:60.42 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.

Steve

Doesn't look like it's sorted yet,can you pass those on to support.I had a look over at Zen they claim that BT think they've resolved the Glasgow issue but there should be another update this evening

I have passed a few speed reports on but BT don't appear to be doing anything,
I last spoke to IDnet Support on friday and bt had said to them there is a problem in Glasgow and N Ireland and i could not get any more information than that.
Like i said in my previous post what every they were working on yesterday my speed went to up 8mb on a capped 8mb line but today its awful again.

I would just like some information as its been 2 weeks now since the start of this and i cant see any thing being resolved as yet.
