Anyone who remembers Peter Molyneux, developer of some of the more interesting early PC games including Populous and Black and White, might care to take a look at what he's been up to recently.

Personally I think there's an element of scripting going on here, how much I do not know but even so, it's quite impressive to watch.

If it is only partly true at present, it will be an incredible achievement, scary too.

What is the date of the referendum for England to become an independent country ?

Yeah, you can tell there's a lot of scripting going on there. At one point she asks a question that the "kid" ignored as it's told you what to do and the screen leaves you with no option other than to look at the water. Also, the reaching thing he's creaming himself over, isn't so fantastic. You have no controller and the whole point of that wii...I mean Kinect ;) is to use no controllers, so the obvious option is to reach for it when it appears at the bottom of the screen.

Simple stuff done in a partially clever way. I imagine technology is quite a way off having a completely submersive experience in this sort of way. You can put money on seeing that sort of thing in games like Fable though, within a a few years. Probably 2 consoles down the line I'd have imagined, or a poorer version soonish.

Hopefully this technology will come with virtual traffic wardens to abuse
