I suppose that's typical of 'theregister's' Apple bashing, my 3Gs updated fine.

Mine updated fine, although a program stopped responding again and crashed as it always does installing updates for the phone. I don't think it's actually crashed, just Vista being overly keen on reporting a delay.

All seems installed okay though. I'll have a play with it tomorrow and see what has broken :D

Installed fine on my iphone 4 first time, its still bandwagon time for Gizmodo and The Register, and probably always will be

Someone has to bash the control freak of a company led by a man so odious all other such figures pale in comparison.

No they dont actually, its all rather boring now, and attitudes like yours are just vacuous statements to bash for the sake of it IMHO and create platform wars, its almost blatant flaming.

I Don't see you with a Gulfsteam and his wealth or business acumen, he has managed to turn around a company and make it very successful, have you?, There is no Mr Nice guy in big business, you should know that, so until you are in a business position of equal standing we dont know how you would change.

I dont think Jobs is a great guy but the anti Apple brigade are getting to be tiresome now. If its not Steve Jobs its Bill Gates if its not Bill Gates its someone else,, and it really does not matter, if you dont like the product dont buy it and dont moan about it, or belittle the CEO, that simple.

There are far better causes to take up than these that can makes a difference to the world we live in after all

The reason I cant stand the guy is because he treats his customers (and developers) with contempt and wealth and possessions don't make up for being an ignorant pig.

TBH This is getting dull and a little out of hand.

Whatever your views are they are somewhat different to mine and that's fine, I dont think the sun shines out of Jobs rectum for sure, but neither does it shine from Bill gates or Steve Ballmer, but I'm not pounding them for fun on here. Steve Jobs has however turned Apple around into a company made Apple worth $227 billion, but calling the man a pig is out of line you dont know him personally do you? I dont think Jobs is the greatest personality at all but I at this time like Apple products, I have my views you have your views that's ok, but trolling is not what I expect here, nor is calling someone you dont personally know a "ignorant pig"
