after many months of rubbish support by my current isp and three weeks of deliberation i finally took the plunge and signed up for idnet today. from this forum it seems like i should have done earlier. howevere after getting my comfermation email  i have a couple of very basic questions.

1 will my bt voyager 2100 work ok and do i have to set anything up on monday (when the service starts)
2 how do i sign up for my free email address

thanks for your help

As long as you can change your username and password on the router, then you should be OK.

Once support have sent you your username and password, log on to https://www.idnet.net/secure/ you can then add your email addresses.

What I'm not sure is the Voyager's 2100 support for ADSL2+ (if that's what you've signed up for,you may be on ADSL) some contradictory comments on the web and also there is a firmware update on the BT web site.

thanks for the updates and friendly responses, I am signed up for asdlmax (asdl+ not available at my exchange) so sounds like i will be OK Monday and much better off than my current fixed 2 meg. I am having problems logging into my account using the information given in supports email is this because i need to wait for my live date or could there be another issue.

Rik

More likely there's another issue, you can normally set up email etc as soon as you have the login details. Give support a call - we can't do much to help in this area for obvious reasons. If you have any problems, feel free to PM me your name and the phone number which will be used, and I'll see what I can do. :)

thanks for the reply Rik, just tried again and had no problems logging on, did not even have to call support. not even gone live yet and I'm getting more impressed already

Rik

You're not restricted to the number of mailboxes you can have either. ;)
