I'm thinking about trying to get an Openreach engineer out to look at the wiring and re-route it if necessary and am aware that it is likely to cost me £144 but not sure whether to request the visit via my phone company or the ISP?

Technical Ben

I suppose it depends on the reason for the call out. Is there noise on the line when you do a quiet line test?
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

Good point Ben, haven't done that yet, will have to plug a phone in.

Basically, Mitch, if you want sockets moved other than the master, use a local telecoms company, they'll be cheaper. If it's the master, BT if there's noise on the line, ISP otherwise.

I might hang fire to see if I can get on the FTTP trial as a 100 Meg ethernet connection sounds very appealing.

I got up to about 11.5 GB this month before BT's crazy DLM put me on a 575 sync.

Maybe it was Zen's way of making sure you didn't approach your cap.

 ;D
I'll struggle to use 50GB on a DSL Max connection but prob not on a 100 Meg one.
