Just remember it's bad to put all your eggs in one basket in this case. (Metaphorically and in reality. )
Make sure you can backup essentials.

I have a 120Gb external HD for this purpose together with a few 8Gb memory sticks for really important bits and bobs

I bought a PC from PC specialist last year/The Antec case you are buying is brilliant.There are 3 air filters that you can take out and wash whenever they get clogged with dust.PC runs silent. Plus it's built like a brick outhouse,I kid you not.

'er indoors will be overjoyed (NOT) when she views this heap!  otoh my present 'pute sounds like a 10 megawatt generating plant so I think that she will accept the compromise in fairly short order.
She's ploughing her way thro. qvc and amazon at the mo., why am I getting worried?
