Don't phone IDNet, it's a major BT fault at RED5-MQD RAS.

Affected exchanges include:

WOLVERTON, ORTONS, WARE, SHENLEY CHURCH END, WANTAGE, RUGBY, LEIGHTON BUZZARD, LEAGRAVE, DALMELLINGTON, WITNEY, STEVENAGE, NEWPORT PAGNELL, MILTON KEYNES, BICESTER, BRADWELL ABBEY, DUNSTABLE, DUSTON, HITCHIN, STONY STRATFORD, NORWICH WEST, LETCHWORTH and WELLINGBOROUGH.

If you're not on one of these exchanges, obviously you do need to make contact.

BT are re-loading the CPU on the BRAS, and lines should be coming backup up over the next couple of hours. :fingers:

Just had one of my folks who is at home today complaining they cant get on the 'net.

My connection has come back up now as I've just logged into the router remotely so others should be too hopefully.

Jusrt glad it was PPP and I didn't lose sync as connection is currently running at 2.4 and I want to keep it that way.

Anyway I shouldn't be posting here as I'm not an IDNet customer so I apologise but just wanted to provide secondary confirmation all things were back for you.

No problems, Mitch, it's helpful as it demonstrates it affected all ISPs. :)

Not sure if any work is going on on the staffordshire areas ? ADSL was flashing red on my router this morning (was working fine last night) then about 10 mins ago, everything was green, but couldn't get anything to come up, google, emails etc, now it just started working again ? not sure whats going on ?

Rik

The latter part I can explain by the core router upgrade that's been going on today. The red light sounds like a BT issue but I can find no reports on it.
