I've been using the Mail Notifier app for the iPhone, and this afternoon, it's stopped working for my IDNet accounts, but still works for my mail.com account.  Both are set up for imap, and I haven't changed anything.  Does anyone else use this app?  Any ideas?  The native mail app still works fine, as does my other phone.

It may need the equivalent of a DNS flush, as the mail servers were affected by the router issues.

I can't tell you how to do it (re-boot the phone?) but that's working for most computer based issues.

I think the same for the iPhone > Turn it off.

Done that, Steve, and deleted and recreated the account.  Still not working.  It's weird that it works through the normal mail app, but not the notifier app, which I believe is 'push', so that might be relevant.

Tried setting up a POP3 account, and that has failed too.  I can only guess there is a problem  with push email.

I guess it can't find the server because at the moment with the routing issues it gets lost.

I'm just curious as to why 'normal' email seems to work, but 'push' email doesn't, Steve.  It's the same server, isn't it?  :dunno:

Is it that 'normal email' makes a request and awaits a reply? Push email has to know where to send it which is why it's failing tonight.

That sounds quite feasible, Steve.  I'll see what tomorrow brings.  :)

He never told you you to switch it back on.
