Getting random in-game DCs this morning (when it happens half the web is unavailable too - lasts a minute or so), just checking to make sure it's not a problem at my end  :)

Connection is still alive, some websites still work but most are unreachable. It only lasts a minute but long enough to get DC'd from WoW   Happened 2 or 3 times so far this morning. If it happens again i'll have a traceroute ready to go.

I just experienced a "drop" like the two drops yesterday. Again, using OpenDNS DNS - complete loss of internet. Changed to IDNet DNS and some sites started to load up again, but not all (VPN to office for example would not connect - a traceroute to this IP address failed after second hop (ie within IDnet)).

However, happily, the problem has now gone away, and back using OpenDNS again.

IDNet are tweaking their network to prevent a repeat of yesterday. Work should be completed by lunchtime, but some of us will experience short losses of connectivity as the work is done.

Thanks Rik, that would explain the 3 minute "blackout".

Rik

It would. Hopefully, after this, things should be stable again - unless, of course, BT really screw up tonight! ;D
