Well, just did a speedtest here in the 86C temperature using wireless apartment connection (included in the rental price, which came in at about £220 for the next month :) )

Results are not too bad - not as fast as I was getting back in the UK, but faster than many there are getting.

You've got a 3.5M profile, Steve, how did BT get in to Turkey? ;D

How's it going?

It's going OK. We left Istanbul on Monday for the 14 hour trip to Fethiye through the night, then spent most of Tuesday trying to find somewhere to stay.

We need to find work quickly now, the money is running out though I can probably raise one or two thousand pounds from the UK in the next few days so that will keep us going a while.

Temperatures here are incredible for the time of year, reaching 26C - 28C by 9am when I usually go out for our daily bread (fresh from the oven at about £0.28 per loaf).

A friend from the UK is over so we went out with him and his wife Tuesday night. 3.5 litres of Efes and I had a head like a robbers dog yesterday.

Oh, and BT owe me £52 so that will help :)

Do you need to re-train to get work, Steve, or are your qualifications accepted? Most importantly, are you happy?
