I have 4gb memory on my machine and recently a 2gb stick failed.  I bought the barebones machine form Novatechin December last year and up till now things were working great.  I contactedNovatech and told them about the problem.  They asked whether I had run tests which I had, they then gave me a return number onThursday. They received the memory on Friday and I got a phone callon Friday night to say they were replcing the memory stick andwhen it came down if there was any incompatability thentoreturn both sticks for a matching pair.  All this involved only my posatge for sending the stick back.

I just wanted to mention that I think this company (Novatech) is the Idnet of the supply world and would thoroughly recommend them.  AFter all the product was nearly a year old and this was Novatech generic memory so I wasn't expecting muchbutdid say that I was willing to pay for a replcement.

Had to mention this company...Novatech :thumb:

Good to hear, Alf. I've found Scan have a very similar attitude.

Why can't all companies act like this?  They would get more repeat business and have their name spread far and wide.  It seems that lots of companies are more interested in their shareholders and profits then they are  in nurturing repeat custom, which is beneficial in the long run.

It's typical of the short-termism which afflicts our society, sadly, Alf.

A lot of problem I think occur when a company gets large enough they start outsourcing sections and then not really bothering to check these services as long as said company checks all the relevant boxes. My last ISP outsourced their support and it became an utter joke.
CompuServe 28.8k/33.6k 1994-1998, BT 56k 1998-2001, NTL Cable 512k 2001-2004, 2x F2S 1M 2004-2008, IDNet 8M 2008 - LLU 11M 2011

Rik

They didn't outsource it to TomTom did they. ;D

The graphics card I took back to Novatech last Monday, has been sent back today, to the manufacturer for testing, repair/replacement.

I had my relacement memory returned by ParcelForce xpress 24 hour delivery.  Novatech phoned me Friday night to say it was on the way and I received it this morning.  SO far it seems fine with no problems.  Unfortunately my Windows 7 64 bit DVD has a crack so it looks like I will have to contact Microsoft for a replcement. :bawl:
