What Rik said  ;D What did you disconnect next to the router for info?

Hiya,

I disconnected a Vodafone SureSignal.  Seems that made no difference anyway.

Since mid afternoon there have been a few drops (small and huge!), then just after 5 had a big disconnection, then a resync 800Kbps higher and a fluctuating 8dB NM.

Will continue to monitor.

MarlyM

Multiple disconnections today.

At this rate I think I'll be lucky to maintain Sync for 14hrs let alone 14 days!

Will see how it goes.

Not managed to get the 2700 yet.

Rik

That may be your best hope.

2 full disconnects and resyncs in the last 13 minutes!

Bah!

Edit 1: Have found a different Netgear to try in the meantime.

Sync is much lower, but maybe it will be more stable.

(Now, where can I get a 2700 quickly!)

Edit 2: Rather strangely, after 2 minutes, the router kept its connection but wouldn't give me any traffic.  Back to the original and I'm away again.  Time to contact some people for a loan router!

Rik

Have you checked eBay for anything on offer?

Seems to be a not uncommon trait with some Netgears.

BQMs-  IPv4  IPv6

2700 with v5 firmware has been sourced!

So far, 40+ hours stable connection with a Broadcom chipped Netgear DG834G.

Amazing the difference it can make!

And that's also taking into account the wind blowing like a mad thing and it tipping it down for the last 24hrs!

Lance

Good to hear. Could you post yours stats from it?

Stats from the Netgear or the 2700 when it arrives?
