Is it possible to use Eyefinity with 2 cards in Crossfire configuration, only I should have 2 x 5770's once I get a replacement back from Novatech?

Also does Eyefinity have to have an active display port dongle, if being used with a standard screen?

Short answer, nope. Long answer yes.
You cannot have a single display on both cards. So your eyefinity will have to be on one card. You can however, have a separate screen for web browsing, for example. But games/videos ect will not span across to the second card/display. Sorry. :(
I guess, in windows you could, for example, have 3 screens to each card (needs 2 eyefinity adapters?). Then "extend desktop across two displays". But any program that only stretches to one display (like videos or games) would not stretch over to the other. You could have a massive word document or webpage up though. :P

The two cards do perform as much as a 5850 when in crossfire. So I'd happly swap you if I had a 5850, or the money to buy one.  ;)
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.
