Has anyone noticed increased ping times?

I re-synced yesterday around 8am (ish) and ever since my ping has doubled and today its even higher.

No :red:

Obviously there's nothing wrong here so it looks like something local to you.

My normal pings are around 13 - 15 ms as you can see from this graph taken by thinkbroadband.com

http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/share/db87ab60062db6d488e4959e3f1b0aad-26-09-2010.html

But you can see by the graph below, it started to get higher around 8am yesterday.

And doing a trace route to idnet.net today I am getting the following

C:\Users\Paul>tracert www.idnet.net

Here are some speed tests

http://www.speedtest.net/result/973966662.png
http://speed.io/pics/3530/1029/speed.io.png
http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/results.php?t=1285930625&v=11011309

And here's a BT speed test.

Download speed achieved during the test was - 5020 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 2000-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :6684 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 992 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 5000 Kbps
The throughput of Best Efforts (BE) classes achieved during the test is - 15.95:20.2:63.85 (SBE:NBE:PBE)
These figures represent the ratio while sententiously passing Sub BE, Normal BE and Priority BE marked traffic.

The results of this test will vary depending on the way your ISP has decided to use these traffic classes.

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 822 Kbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 992 Kbps

As you can see, the first 3 speedtests are much lower than the BT one.

Anyways, I've emailed support with the above, I did say I would phone them back but not got time as I'm off to the hospital now.

Glenn

Steve's ping reduced after a power cut, maybe he has pinched some of your margin.

Maybe the resynch switched you from interleaved OFF to interleaved ON?
(For no apparent reason it did that to me recently)

Sean

Steve

Even so it's a bigger leap than you would expect for interleave on.
