Simon reset my line a few days ago because the black magic had stopped working on it and it rose from the ashes with a stable and usable 5+ meg connection... but as you can see from my tracert above (twice as bad as the worst you guys can come up with) last night's shenanigans have sent that right into the pooper again.

Have a laugh on me....

Well I'm kind of at a loss what to do, had a reply from Support saying that the outage wont have caused the latency and that Telia will probably spot it and get it sorted themselves.  Just seems like I'm being fobbed off.

The reported problem would not have anything to do with Telia, Mitch's tracert from a Zen account shows lag so it is outside IDNet.

Such is the way off the internet. Travelling from London to Glasgow, and getting stuck in the middle, no point blaming London Borough Council, or those friendly Glaswegians.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

Ignoring the anomalies, there's a very definite issue, and the blue response we had last time was "Please ask your ISP to speak to their peers"

PCTech's peer (Sprintlink) is displaying no such issues, ours (Cogentco) is, that's where your issue is.

Anything on what happened around midnight today on the 12th? I lost PPP at 00:08am and had auth failures, I started to think the hostlinks went down again. Gave up waiting by 2am and it was back online when I woke up this morning.

Sounds like BT exchange work to me - its typical timing for it.

It probably was since I'm the only one to mention the downtime, thanks :)

I also lost both my connections last night but around 30 minutes earlier than you. I'm on the Southgate exchange for reference.
