It is intended that Firefox 1.5 will no longer receive update/security support with effect from April 27th 2007.

Ifd you have not already done so I suggest you upgrade to Firefox 2.0.0.3

What a very great shame.............Firefox 2 is cr*p compared with earlier versions,I do all I can to avoid it now.

I dont like the new version either, it crashes and I end up getting sysdata.xml and mini dump errors and blue screens. I downloaded 1.5 from their archive.

I've had problems with Firefox since installing the new update and it's become a right pain in the *rs* to be honest.

I'm now trying out Opera and finding it far superior to Firefox - maybe other users should give that browser a go?

I keep all three browsers on my machine, but I still find FF 2.0.0.3 is more 'me' than Opera. I don't know what it is about the latter, but I don't get on with it. Luckily, we do have a choice these days. :)

Using Opera is a bit like riding a bike  ;) lol  But on the whole I like it - especially with the inbuilt mail client on it (saves having to use outlook).  I've also tried seamonkey too, but on the whole stick with Opera (with IE as back up just in case the website can't display in FF or Opera).
Thank the gods that we do have a choice now apart from OE and IE for email and web browsing.  I just wish I could get to grips with linux, keep reading up on it, thinking about it ??? then realising it's probably best to stay with the devil you know lol

I always fell off them. :)

Not to mention doing MS updates! I also find most router interfaces work better with IE.

Devil being the operative word!

I 'grew up' on Netscape, I seem to remember paying about £40 for it, but may be wrong on that. Those were the days! Like you, I keep thinking I ought to get around to Linux, and then think "everything is working at the moment..."

Use Opera for a few weeks and you won't want to go anywhere else,it is very addictive.

As to Linux take a look at www.pclinuxos.com the best operating system there is ,period.

They have a superb community and the help is always available if you need it.Very easy to set up and use ,installing applications is all automatic through Synaptic package manager so anyone can get going.
