Broadband service outage 1st-4th November 2010
October 20th, 2010 by GM

BT have notified NewNet that they will be conducting a major firmware upgrade on Broadband Line cards in BT exchanges nationwide between  01.00 and 06.00 from 1st-4th Nov 2010. The nature of the work will affect all NewNet IP Stream / WBC broadband services. LLU services will not be affected.

It is likely that all IP Stream / WBC broadband services on affected exchanges will drop during this period while the upgrade is carried out. BT estimates an outage of up to 60 mins within the window specified. Service should automatically resume once the connection comes back. If your service does not resume automatically, please disconnect your session and reconnect. If you experience any difficulty in connecting again, or require further details of  if and when your local exchange is affected please contact NewNet Support at the earliest opportunity.

Thanks to Dorsetboy, for finding this information.
