Looks to me like the iPad and Samsung's forthcoming Galaxy tablet with Android OS will put the sales of Netbooks into terminal decline. Interestingly the majority of iPad users are very satisfied and I foresee similar results with the Android Tablets.

I wonder if people will be put off the Galaxy by the app market security issues?  I think Google are going to have to take steps, eventually, to introduce some sort of checking process for apps.  Perhaps not quite as strict as Apple, but something is required.

I went the other way and bought myself an Acer Ferrari One - battery life isn't as good as the Atom-based Acer Aspire One it replaced but it's basically the same packaging (screen, keyboard etc - virtually identical, including weight) but with a proper dual core Turion it doesn't grind to a halt whenever FireFox has a bit of heavy JavaScript or some Flash to render.
