If you know the name of one of the missing files, search for that - they have no doubt unzipped into the wrong place.

What is the date of the referendum for England to become an independent country ?

Recuva is an excellent free recovery tool.
To stay is death but to flee is life.

If recuva fails. There is also TestDisk. http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk But it's run from command prompt. Don't change the wrong settings, as it has some that delete things too.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

still dont know how they got deleted first may be something in the zip software  :dunno:

I've often found it's simple mistakes/automatic changes by programs. Such as, you Zip the folder (as replace and zip) then decide to use Winrar instead. So you delete the Zipped folder. Only to realise afterwards it WAS the original.  :slap:
On the bright side, you did not delete and entire HDD while looking for the backup button...

 ;D

And that's why I make four backups a day...

It's amazing how fast things run when you don't want them to run at all. Yelling "Stop, stop!" never works well for me.

Rik

Have you tried saying please? ;D

Well, it's how it is made. One box pops up and says "delete?". You MEAN to click no, but they are so close together. ;)
Then it's 1 file to remove a boot sector, millions of files to restore said drive. :(

And a large packet of paracetamol.
