Never noticed this before. I just rightclicked on a youtube video to see there are more options now. One includes a list of your connection rates, and compares this to ISP and the UK. I think you need to be logged in and have an account (ususally a google one will do if you already have one).

Check out the "Test video" too. It is a talk about google/Akamai and how they can use their servers to re route and avoid breaks and disruptions in the net.
Basically, just like BT, most of the internet is being routed over a few single high bandwidth sites. If there is a problem, everyone gets disconnected. Google and Akamai are using better routing, with only a little bit more infrastructure, to go around the breaks in the connections.

They seem to be recording every file access via their servers/systems. They are like maths geeks, analysing EVERYTHING.

Doesn't work for me, getting this error message in FF Hello, either you have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. even though both are installed and up to date.

what about this one on youtube.when the clip is playing press the up and left arrow keys together and get a little worm type game from early days

you can use up and right keys too or even pause the clip then press the keys

Oh. The "stop download" option is great. The thing I hate is when I press refresh (to see comments or follow links/bookmarks etc on tutorials) and it tries to download a hour long video again. :/
