FTP timing out

They shouldn't be used by the router unless IDNet set it up. Have you tried admin/password?

Sorry, I had to reboot my PC to get rid of the login window. It's lovely to try to help me but I don't feel confident enough to go on with the opening of my router. I don't know which credentials to use.

I'm going to report the ping issue to Idnet support and the FTP issue to my Chinese. I think it's the best solution for now. Let me know if you have another idea.

What happened to require a re-boot? You can't break the router just by logging in, so try admin/password and see what happens. Who set the router up - are you able to contact them? Are you on ADSL Maz (up to 8Mb) or WBC (up to 24 Mb)?

IDNet may well want to try pinging your router anyway, so be prepared.

Idnet set up my router. I tried all the credentials you mentionned. Nothing works. I had to reboot because I could close the window to the router anymore.
