Hi
All the information you need to use the 2700 can be found here. http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/ir1002700HGV.htm

It covers all firmware versions. If you have any problems, post back.
Ted
There's no place like 127.0.0.1

Bazru

My modem has such parametres:
Assembly no.4201-003003-006
Hardware version 2701-100588-005
BT Business Hub v2.0 shipped in grey/white carton.
Single SSID printed on label.
factory shipped firmware v4.25.33

Also it is necessary for me to use VOIP with the provider 12voip.com
What firmware to me is better for flash down in my modem?

MisterW

The only firmwares available which support voip are the BT 5.29.107.12 & 5.29.107.19 see here http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/041.htm.
Have a GOOD read through the site from the starting link as Ted posted earlier.

Bazru

Thanks for the links! Tomorrow I will try.

Rik

Good luck. Let us know if we can help further.

At the moment I have such data:
Model: BT2700HGV
Serial Number: xxxxxxxxx
Hardware Version: 2701-100589-005
Software Version: 5.29.107.19
Key Code: 528Y-27G4-A222-22BJ-B22V

Edit: Serial number removed at OP's request.

Rik

I've never used VOIP, so sorry I an't help there, but bear with us, an expert will be along shortly. What are your setup details for 12voip (obviously, don't give your username). The wireless setup should be under local network > wireless.

... and here he is.

There is a hidden configuration page which you need to use to setup your SIP server details.
Quote
Open Internet Explorer or whatever you use, enter in the address box http://192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=J62 and press ENTER
Note: If you have changed the IP address of the hub substitute it above.

You should see the Voice - Configure Server page

If you have any profiles already click the edit button and enter the details for each profile in turn as shown and click the submit button on the edit page to save your entries.

If you don't have any profiles yet click the ADD button and add them.

Before leaving the 'Voice - Configure Server' page (J62) make sure that both profiles, or one if you are only using one, are checked and click the SUBMIT button at the bottom/right of the page.

The rest of the setup is done from the hubs normal front page so just go to http://192.168.1.254 and click the voice network icon at the top of the page.

In Line Settings click on 'Step 2: Set Up Phone Lines' to get to this page...

Click the Edit button for each line in turn and enter your details on this page.....

For Username and Auth Username use your sip authentication id. For callerID you can use your full PSTN number or tick the Anonymous box. When entering your password remember it is case sensitive. Save your entries by pressing the SUBMIT button.

Before clicking the NEXT button on the Line Information page make sure one or both lines are active by checking the box under activate.

Click NEXT again and then click DONE.

If the bandwidth is set to low change it to high.
Hope that helps , Good Luck

NB there is a example configuration for sipgate in this http://www.the-scream.co.uk/forums/t22658-15.html? thread.

Bazru

I have made so:
Profile 1

Profile Name: Sipnet
VOIP Service Type: SIP
Server IP Address: sipnet.ru
Server Port: 5060
Domain: sipnet.ru
Register Expire Time: 3600
Register Retry Interval: 300
Use 11-digit DIDs:
Show CID Names:
Require Authentication:   yes

But when I open this page:
http://192.168.1.254 and click the voice network icon at the top of the page.

I see the following:
Status at a Glance
  Voice Network
• Voice Service Disabled
No Active VOIP service has been subscribed.

Where my error? What do I do incorrectly?

MisterW

You haven't done this bit

You have ONLY configured the sip server , you need to configure one of the voice lines with your sip id and password as described above. You get to that from the normal voice configuration menu. Once you've done that then the voice status should show active.

Bazru

I have adjusted "Credentials (if authentication is required at Registrar):
Has written down there the - Auth Username Auth Password

But at me on former - "All Lines Inactive To use your voice network, activate your phone lines by following the steps to the right."
I have connected to "phone lines" the usual telephone set, but in it I hear a signal of my telephone line. I do not understand, can there it is necessary connect what that the special telephone set?

Bazru

Hi to All!
At last I could adjust VoIP
I can call to subscribers of a network sipnet.ru, but I can not use an international telecommunication. After I type 8 figure of number, in phone there is a buzzer, and I cannot call in any way. Who can can help? Thanks!

Glenn

I don't know, but I would think it would be something to do with sipnet. Does your account allow international calls?

Bazru

Yes, certainly! With sipnet I can call in any country of the world and is very cheap. I can call from the computer, but I can not from the modem-phone. What's the problem? I cannot understand.

MisterW

Check here http://home/xslt?PAGE=V08 that the PSTN breakout is not set to the same as the first digit you are dialling. If it is then the 2700 will be trying to dial on the landline rather than voip.

Bazru

I have checked up it.
I spoke with the provider sipnet and they to me have told to check up:
1. dialplan
2. Codecks G711, G729
But I have not found these parametres where me them to search in modem options?

MisterW

Its not possible to setup dialplans or change the codecs on a 2700.
One thing you could check is on this page http://home/xslt?PAGE=J65
Check that the line ( 1 or 2 ) you configured, is associated with the correct server profile.

Hope that helps.

Bazru

Probably I need to change VoIP the provider? What provider VoIP can advise?

MisterW

QuoteWhat provider VoIP can advise?
I can't really advise on VOIP providers. My Voip is provided by my ISP as part of my Broadband package so I've never looked at other voip providers.
Hopefully someone else will come along with some advice.
