I think disconnects have stopped because of change wireless mode - "B"
It advise here: http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/043.htm
But because of it my  wireless network became slow. This not so good solution.

MisterW

TBH I hadn't seen that latest tripod post. My 2700 doesn't seem to have a problem with wireless-G , although I don't use it a lot.
The office one gets used quite heavily from time to time ( I downloaded 300MB at 2.0MB/sec the other day! ) and that doesn't have a problem either.

I have the big exchange traffic
Every day:
download - 3-7GB
upload 1-3GB
I use µTorrent 2.0.2 (22150)

Rik

You'd benefit from a cable, rather than wireless, connection, then.

The router is far from the laptop, there is no possibility  connect a cable

Rik

A cable can be up to 100 metres in length.

I can not stretch a cable through a wall :)

Rik

You could try mains networking, homeplugs as they are usually called. What kind of mains sockets do you have, eg in the UK we use 'square' pinned, 13A fused plugs. That's critical because the plus have to fit your sockets, so we may not be able to make recommendations except in terms of good and bad makes.

Thanks, Rik!
But at my home is not present socket for LAN. It is necessary to use WIFI. Let's look as the router will work today.
Please look at the underlined text. What does it mean?

There are some problems with V6, especially regarding items missing from the devices list and you cannot go back to V5 after flashing to V6.

I believe so if its an upgrade from v5 and is already working, but not if you are setting it up from scratch.

MisterW

I didn't believe there was a manual way of upgrading to v6. AFAIK the only way is via an 'automatic' upgrade from 5.29.117.6.

No? without variants?

Gnix62

I have upgraded 2700HGV from V5 to V6, detailed post can be find in this "2-wire 2700 router issue" topic, voip can be set from scratch but troublesome, only benefit is you can set 2 wireless SSID.

MisterW

I can't see any download link on tripod for v6.
Quoteonly benefit is you can set 2 wireless SSID.
You can do that with v5, Fusion and Normal SSID's.

You can find the Firmware at the section:
http://bt2700hgv.tripod.com/071.htm

I am not using BT V5 so not aware V5 also can set 2 SSID.

MisterW

Gnix2, Thanks for that, I missed that somehow.

Bazru

Gnix2, You tried this firmware?
