Just seen an advert on another site for BT Business Broadband... claiming 99.99% network reliability.

That works out as a maximum of 52 minutes 34 seconds outage time in any 12-month period. Any comment is superfluous I think :mad:


edit- and would probably get me banned ;D

Figures. The planned outage tonight is already 5x longer than the downtime for 99.99% uptime!

I doubt it covers hostlinks and there is probably provision for routine maintenance in the agreement for these.

I spoke to a cabbie recently who asked me what I did for a living, after telling him he revealed he used to work for BT within their IT section.

I explained they were my least favourite company because of how long my line was and trouble I'd had with speed and he said yes I can understand that but he said he'd enjoyed working for them.

I asked him what he missed and he said 'well my mates but most of all my American Express charge card'
