Nice to know BT can screw up and get caught so publicly.

QuoteBig problem at home with BT internet they r tinkering to change to adsl 2. real cock up brain dead in call centre clueless.

QuoteAfter 5 mins told BT bloke on phone who I was and I make pc's and routers for day job. Made no diff still went tru stupid check list.Help!

I'll be the first to admit, Alan Sugar knows his stuff. His business philosophy from way back when, was the ability to sell affordable grot to the masses. He was never an innovator, his products were always low tech but everyone could afford them and he made a mint.

Those quotes seem to indicate nothing changes, cheap and cheerful to the last. Given his wealth and his [cough] obvious understanding Internet technology, don't you not think he would have opted for better than bog-standard ADSL connection some time ago?

BT Internet, he obviously doesn't know the difference between them and a true business grade ISP, namely the likes of IDNET or Zen.

Rik

I doubt he actually knows what a router is, he's always been about selling, not technology.

I do find The Apprentice amusing because of the arrogant people that end up on it.

Rik

I find it totally avoidable for the same reason. ;D

I try to avoid most TV.

Generally just watch that, Live at the Apollo and Tramadol Nights these days

Isn't tramadol a pain killer? ;)

Yes, opiate based, I am on them for severe arthritis.

Rik

Well, a modern Marxism would be TV is the opiate of the masses, Mick. Sorry to hear about your pain, though.

Not sure about Tramadol nights Mitch, Saying that I have Oxycontin nights now  ;D  I think I liked Frankie Boyle more on Mock the week, he repeats stuff he has used on that show as well in his live gigs and now in this new series, I had high hopes but so far not impressed.
