They don't market CPUs they way they used to which is a shame as Intel produced some cracking ads IMO.

To be totally correct they were the 80286 and 80287

And what about the 80186 and 80187

Never used in PCs as far as I can remember.

I certainly never saw one. I knew they existed, but where was never answered.

Some of the systems we designed them into are still in service and the 80186 went out of production only recently. The 187 was, I believe, an 8087 with some minor modifications to get 80186 compatibility and never available on the wider market
