Hey,

Whats a good printer to buy?

My HP Photosmart C4380 has a problem and I can't seem to sort it, I've tried new cartridges, resets etc etc but still get "print cartridge missing or not detected"

Ray

If you're looking for an all in one, Paul, I can thoroughly recommend the Canon Pixma MP640, I've been using one for around a year now with no problems whatsoever, it's also a network printer wireless and wired.

Epsom SX115 cheapest ink around, but not the fastest printer :)

Cheers, I'll keep my eye open when in comet today.

You can still get that Cannon I think but its been replaced by the Canon PIXMA MG6150 All-In-One Wi-Fi Colour Photo Printer (Print, Copy and Scan)
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

I have a Canon Pixma iP4700 and its a great machine. I was looking for a standalone printer because it seems to me if you buy a combi that does it all, you have to junk the whole machine if the scanner part packs up for instance.
People argue that combis save desk space but you still need access around it for the scanner lid etc.
I always use imitation cartridges from Choice - half the price and just as good for everyday printing IMHO.

I'm happy with my year old HP Photosmart Premium (an older model I believe than the current one on sale).

Same here, I have an older one and an old one, and they are both giving sterling service at a reasonable cost per page.
