What steps are AAISP taking to fix the problem, rather than hide it, Walter?

Hi Rik,

Not unreasonably, I believe they are suggesting firmware upgrades could be necessary.
I also believe they are about to offer their own IPv6 compatible modems should a user require a more modern solution.

In this case the lines are so appalling that we might have to obtain Business hub upgraded firmware just to obtain the maximum that can be squeezed out of the line.
I am not over-delighted by the restrictive practices of the supplier given the obvious of lack of remedial work on the network; particularly so when I believe it has been announced that there will be little additional investment at any location where FTTC has been supplied.

Kind regards,
Walter

AAISP currently have a Broadcom based Comtrend IPv6 router available for preorder and I've preordered one.

I think the 2700's days are numbered.

Rik

Good find, Glenn, I'd always assumed it was purely IPv4.

It may need a firmware update to to enable it though.

I read somewhere that all future firmware versions will support IPv6, the latest hardware is IPv6 capable.

We haven't seen inside one yet to see if there has been any chipset changes, if not then all version will be IPv6 too !
