FTTC installed last July. Initial d'ld speed 35Mb/s. Gradually dropping. Now down to 26Mb/s (24 over Christmas).

Is this to be expected with greater uptake of fibre locally or are there other, underlying problems?

Router stats please , any line drops, changed any hardware, had anything new installed in the house?

First image is in July, second January is your central heating affecting your system with noise?

Holodene

The downstream profile is still 38717. Try maxing it out using an Ubuntu torrent.

That used to be easy, using RouterStats with Netgear DG834GT but now am using Linksys WRT320N Router with BT supplied VSDL modem. How do I obtain the router stats you want to see.

No change in hardware responsible for the slow down. Will check BT Test with CH off to rule out noise issue.

Sorry Holodene you'll have to explain how I do that!

You don't, you can't get them from the BT modem.

In all probability, you're seeing the congestion which is dogging FTTC and which is part of the reason that BT are putting back dates. Run three BT speedtests at various times of day and let support have the results to look at.
