Hello everybody - its me again (groans heard in the background)

Is there anybody out there using Hotmail? I've had no trouble for ages but now its not displaying jpg's. In IE8 I just get the red X in the corner and the "show image" via RM does nothing.
In Firefox I get a cid: number.
XP Home or W7 - no difference, so I'm thinking its a Hotmail flaw...
Can anybody assist?
Thanks in advance

Hi Gary - I assume so - the Silverlight page tells me its ready to use. Do you think that is causing the problem or should it be helping?
Either way, its not doing much that I can see...

Are there any settings in Hotmail for displaying images, this link is from 7 years ago, but may help http://www.worldstart.com/how-to-get-your-pictures-back-in-msnhotmail/

Hi Glenn,
no I tried that. There is no banner at the top to check "Show blocked images" and the RM pulldown "Show picture" does nothing either.

Hmmm. I'd guess at Firefox set to "don't show images" or Adblocker. But that probably is not to problem. Difficult one.  :eyebrow:
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

I just wondered if you have silverlight, have you the latest version? Does this happen on other sites? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283807 I don't use silverlight on my Mac and I can see jpegs in emails ok but the rest of the windows live suite does not always behave.
