At the moment I use a cable, but this is a PITA. Is the cheapest satisfactory solution to use a ethernet homeplug adapter? If so is there much difference in the various manufacturers? I use it for BBC IPlayer.

The chipsets do differ amongst the manufacturers of homeplugs, so if you wish to add more at a later stage it's worth a note of it. The Infineon homeplug chipset is widely used and as long as the firmware is similar different makes should be compatible. The 200 AVs are fine for iPlayer but the 85s may struggle.

About 90% probably, Glenn. The remaining 10% is shared between Mexico, the Philippines  and Eastern Europe.
