Hi

I joined IDNet around the 6th of May. The tariff I'm on has a bandwidth quota of 15Gb (I realise this is download only, BTW).

So do I get the full 15Gb for the ~25 days remaining in May, or is it pro-rata'd ?

Normally I wouldn't be concerned about this but I went a bit mad with my shiny new IDNet connection over the bank holiday weekend so I'm likely to be fairly close to the limit ...

Yup ,it is a monthly allowance, not pro-rata'd and Idnet don't penalise people anyway.

If you go over your limit by too much you just get billed @£1.00 per GB and you will get plenty of warning by email that your projected use is too high.

Thanks for that. Since it's not pro-rata'd, I'll most likely come well within the quota anyway.

I've already had a warning email (after my first 3 days when I was, erm, testing the connection very heavily).

Uploads not counting towards the quota is a good thing as I have plans to set up access to my home machine via VNC. Once I get a home machine that is!

Hi Doc

If you talk to support, they will happily change your billing date for you. If you set it to coincide with the calendar month, that would mean that the figures displayed on the customer account page will always reflect your 'billing usage' rather than a calendar month which starts part way through your billing period.
