Honestly not a lot of real research went into that, the Dellienwares are awful with lots of issues and awful support. Likewise the Sony all in ones are so moisy that many took them back, unbearabel fan noise sitting in front of you is not needed. Seems more like an article from the American PCWorld site which are generally less than substantial on the background as well..

It looks like an advert to me, there are loads of PCmags and sites that have become nothing more than adverts/catalogues pushing affiliates products with articles written to persuade you that they really have your best interests at heart ,sadly there are millions of muppets less well informed folk out there.

Seen PCFormat "die". The readers, the writers, the adverts, the forum and community all went to pot.

I honestly feel that these days you need to look at decent review sites, and about 10 of them, then look at the most expensive one you can find and work your way backwards to exactly what you're looking for, then price it if you build it yourself.

I'm upgrading over the next 2 months and I'll need a motherboard, ram, cpu and power supply. I also WANT a bluray player in it, as it's cheaper than buying a dedicated bluray player SSD drive is a must too, so I'm probably looking at about £700 purely from the addition of the SSD drive. I may even need two drives to get a decent size C drive. Sata is fine for storage but I want access times reduced dramatically to speed up processing of games heavily dependant on databases & photoshop not being bottlenecked if at all possilbe

They included the BT Home Hub on there, while it certainly has a CPU it isn't classed as a computer, BT obviously paid to have that in there.

Anyone with any knowledge or who value support above cheap as chips services with none have switched away from BT.
