Ericsson begins upgrade of O2's northern network

What about us in the south of the country! I left O2 because of their poor 3G coverage but had they signed a contract with NSN to do upgrades I possibly would have stuck it out.

Probably logical they'll do the north first as although they are based in Slough a lot of their operations are in Leeds now, get it working for the staff and then sort the rest out.

I'm not really a big mobile data user I have to say but have found that 99% of the time I want to make a call I can.

The Ericsson work will be controlled out of Reading, Guildford, and Manchester. All the applications that the field engineers need for their jobs were packaged, tested and rolled out in November last year.

Down south O2's 3G signal is non exsistent in many places, we seem so behind once again, Verizon in the states rungs a 4G network already I believe
