Total war: Shogun 2

The demo is out for this too. I've had a go today, and while the actual battles are very strategy based, it doesn't really seem any different than the Rome version I bought years ago, and didn't finish (one faction wouldn't bleedin die, and always had more armies than I did, despite being totally surrounded!).

I really feel that these games would benefit from a better base building aspect. If you could control your area more effectively like in Settlers, combined with the RTS base building style of C&C3 say, then you could better control your own economy. That way YOU would control who you trade with, rather than the game pretty much forcing you to trade with some if you want to do one thing, or ally with someone you'd rather not as you need the other land.

Ah well, bandwidth hammered for nothing :D
