They upgraded their systems a couple of weeks ago, it stopped Shareprice.co.uk from working for a few hours. They also lost Friday morning due to the upgrade causing problems http://www.onenewspage.co.uk/news/Money/20110225/19988700/London-Stock-Exchange-closed-as-computer-glitch-brings.htm

I know it took me 4 days to sell some Tesco shares by phone in 2009 because they couldn't get a success or failure message from the trading platform.
