Let me guess, because there something that can be used on a phone that are stored in one place, and someone is selling them to make a profit so they think their business model has been stolen?

Bear in mind I haven't read anything about this, but you can put money on that being the reason ;D

"Consumers of mobile software downloads are likely to be confused as to whether Amazon's mobile software download service is sponsored or approved by Apple."

Only if they think their users are stupid enough to think an Apple phone will run Android software natively.  :shake:

The BBC is easily confused by Apple press releases.

No. Apparently the only company to sponsor or approve "apps" is Apple.  :slap:  :eyebrow:
They applied for "Appstore/App Store" copyright. Not granted yet mind you, all the other applications by companies were thrown out. However, as it's Apple, I'm sure they have more money special consideration.
It would be comparable to copyrighting "Shoe Shop" or "Green Grocers". Even wore that Apple are know to sue fruit producing companies...  ::)

Wow. Mr Brooker is up on tech and gaming it seems. The only guy on TV to play it real when it comes to such things.
I agree 100% on the problems with Apple products. I would have a Mac (great software, and ace at Adobe), a Mac Book, an Ipad, an Iphone, an Itouch and an IpodNano. All at the same time! If they did 2 things, remove Itunes and Quicktime!
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.
