I enjoy listening to Greek music.  Im able to stream some radio stations from this site:-

http://www.e-radio.gr/default.asp

I an able to listen without any input to about 10% of the stations on the site, however some of the links just sit there saying 'Ready' and waiting for some input from me. Ive tried some of the fixes from the site to resolve issues without success.

Id be grateful for any help on this.

Thanks

Can you give an example of one which doesn't work for you, and I'll test here.

Later: Most seem to work fine (FF2.x). I found two that opened the player window but there was no data being sent, Ecclesia 89.5 and Radio Net 101.9. No error messages, no request for input from me. Perhaps they only broadcast for limited periods?

Under the categories,

Greek Laika, only 3 of them seem to work for me.

They are  Ellada FM,  Radio Xylokastro and Top FM.   All the others bring up the player and just sit there saying Ready.  I keep asking myself, 'for what'

They all worked for me, without intervention, except for Ksenyxtis Mytilinis (I did a cut'n'paste to make sure I got the spelling right :)). On that, and I tried twice, I had to hit play before it did anything.

What version of Windows and Media Player are you running, what software firewall, what AV?

What are your line stats like (they ought to be better than mine ;)).

Afterthought: Could it be an MTU/RWIN issue? I use 1500 and 261280.

Waters getting a bit deep here.

XP + XP firewall
CA Antivirus
WMP v10

Modem Edimax
US 448
DS 4512
US Margin 24
DS Margin 13
Interleaved.
MRU 1500
Ive been using the e-radio player that is on the website. When Ive tried WMP it says 'some codecs are missing unable to play files'.
Cant understand why some play and not others.
I must admit Ive only ever used the e-Radio Player that comes with the site, to listen to the sites.

Off to watch footy will be back later.
Thanks

Try upgrading to WMP 11. It's just possible that has the missing codecs (or I may have picked them up with other software, eg Quicktime or Nero). Check your RWIN - that may be affecting things if it's too small.

I'm also interleaved, so it's not that, and your line stats are faster than mine, though you do have a high d/s noise margin, so your line might be quite noisy and DLM has ramped up the margin to overcome that. It could be, therefore, that you're getting a lot of errors, but that should stop everything or just cause some stuttering.

It might be worth briefly disabling your firewall and AV on one of the affected stations.

Success!! WMP v11 seems to have sorted it.  Thanks for the help? Most of the listed stations are now available.
