White iPhone 4

Finally.

Quite a honest word for Apple to use in annoucing the white iPhone 4 is now available. It's bizare how Apple, with all their ability and resources have taken so long to get it right and released.

I'm no expert, at all, but has the release of the "White" iPhone just come after the new financial year?

Has that anything to do with the release date?!?

It does seem a bit odd that they have taken the best part of a year to manufacture a bit of white plastic

White Glass and I think getting it to be white and not off white was a challenges somehow, blacks quite easy but to make the white even across the glass, and maybe not go yellow under sunlight may have been the issue.

I did wonder with this release whether the iPhone4 may not be updated in the usual June/July ?

Im not up on the iPhone but my son has the HTC Desire,in white, and its a great phone.he tried the iPhone before getting HTC and didnt like it at all and is well pleased with this one.

I tried the HTC HD and hated it, loved the screen size just did not like Android, also the battery cover on the phone was damn hard to get off and considering the HD ate batteries for dinner that was a pain and the memory card slot and sim card cover left a gap between it and the lovely aluminium body also no front facing camera for skype vid calls, shame I cant get on with Android otherwise I would be be looking to the Samsung Galaxy S 2 later this year but tbh I'll wait till iPhone 6, my 4 will last another year, money is better kept in pocket or on card these days than spent on a new toy that does what my toy does but a few milliseconds faster. The new Desire S looks nice, but since all new phones seem to be going Dual core it seems not really worth buying, and its still Android of course and lacks the lovely screen the original had as its super LCD now.

The rumour mill is saying September it seems Steve, maybe with Lion coming out more resources are being pumped into that, I think the iPhone 5 will just be a bigger and dual core version of the 4 so i'll skip a year and wait till iPhone 6.
