QuoteHTC has admitted its UK service centre is failing to repair and return handsets on schedule, but tells us the problems will soon disappear thanks to its new service centre.

Until then some HTC customers are being asked to wait almost two months for fixes that were promised in 10 days, and they are the lucky ones. Others report that HTC lost their handsets entirely, only for them to turn up a week later along with promises of deliveries which never arrive, and collections that don't get collected.

Guess where my Desire is at present?

I called HTC today, my phone should be returned next week, along with a gift of my choice from the HTC accessory store to the value of £50.

Last week I had an email promising the phone back, on or before 25/05/11. It was repaired on the 23rd, since then it's been awaiting dispatch the customer service chap wasn't any help either. :rant2:

Apparently it's been sent out for delivery today, if I'm very luck, the driver will turn up in the 30 minute window when I'm at home this afternoon.

I had an Interlink delivery this morning. They give a one-hour time slot for delivery, which is something I'd like to see other carriers adopt.

It's UPS, and I don't have the tracking number.

Bugger. I've found, here, that UPS are the least reliable carrier.

I've had a few o the interlink deliveries now and have to say their system receives top marks. I get free text messages telling me when the package has been dispatched (ie they've picked it up), and then a text message on the day with the one hour window. On all three occasions they have turned up bang in the middle of the window.

That one hour window is great, isn't it.
