Ted

Would somebody please try a test at http://speedtester.bt.com/

I just keep getting "Authorisation failed Incorrect Telephone Number - Please try again"

"incorrect telephone number" Really?

Thanks
Ted

I would if I could connect to the site Ted, the page won't even resolve for me. I can tell you I have had that error myself on many occasions though.

Ted

Cheers guys, I can get it to load, tried on two machines but still the same phone line though. BT, what a waste of space!  ::)

I'll try again later.

It is indeed the most temperamental website I've ever known.

.Griff.

It's taken 6 minutes to load so far and I still haven't got to the part where you enter your phone number..

Ted

It won't load for me now either. Anyone else seeing any slow speeds? I'm down to 2meg from 6m+. Been like it all morning, feels like I've been capped!
Sync and margin are fine 8128 \ 9   :dunno:

Speeds are fine, Ted, but I can't get the BT site to load right now, I think it's taken the weekend off. :(

This is the very reason they took away the "remove karma" button!  ;)

Which is a worry considering half of the point of BT is now to provide internet.
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

zappaDPJ

If the back end is as abysmal as the front page markup, it's surprising it works at all.

Works for me (FF 4.0.1 with Java 1.6 update 25, might be worth checking you haven't got multiple versions/updates if you can't get it to load, can't tell you how many times thats hobbled websites and Java based apps at work.

At this rate it might be better to try a different reality instead of browser.
