ive figured out its not routerstats  so its either router doesn't like wnda3100v2 or it doesn't like vmware so ive shutdown vmware to see

also on :5 now

I've not know that router to crash, on previous firmware I've had the odd occasion when wifi has been unavailable. I don't use routerstats, but virtual box works ok.

The only issue I've had a few times with this router is that it lost the EWAN connection to the FTTC modem and wouldn't reconnect until I rebooted the router.

sparkler

it appears to have stopped rebooting now and ive got routerstats and vmware running and i also pulled out the dsl cable and it didn't reboot so its not due to lossing sync

sparkler

ok i think it might have been because i had mac filter enabled and vmware is set to bridged so that might of confused it

FWIW I intially had all sorts of problems with the Netgear wnda3100v2 USB wireless unit. I initially thought it may heve been a problem with my 7800N wireless channel selection but I finally traced it to the fact that I had it plugged into a USB port on a card reader in my desktop, for no other reason than it was easy to get at. I believe it was seeing it as a hub, and it didn't like it. Once I could be bothered to crawl around under the table and plug it in to one of the mobo USB ports on the i/o panel everything was fine, and has been for ages now.
