My usual ping of 30ms for the last 4-5 years is now down to 15ms which is rather odd and considering it's peak time right now.  A few nights ago I also had an outage for a few hours so I was wondering if there had been some upgrades going on somewhere at IDNET?  Or perhaps it's my local exchange (Prescot, Merseyside).  Either way it's halved somehow!

It is possible that BT have been doing some work however it is also possible that if you had interleaving on that it has been turned off.

I'd assumed interleaving was always off as I'd requested it that way when first joining, unless 4 years is the job wait time for that to happen (good old BT)  :D

EDIT: Just booted up DMT and Fast Path is on, which it always has been.  So I guess it must of been an exchange upgrade if not a network one.

We had one other report of a vastly improved ping recently, so I think it is BT fiddling or changing routing.
