I've been looking for a cheap portable ipod dock with FM radio, does anyone use such a device, it must be able to be battery powered?

Unfortunately, I use a Bose unit, Glenn, mains/battery powered and it charges the iPod. Sadly, it doesn't fall into the 'cheap' heading. :(

Glenn

It's to take to Le Mans/camping trips, so wouldn't get too much use, hence cheap.

I understand. Waterproof would be good too. :)

He described it as a state of the art speaker for £15, but I don't think there was any more detail.

The hard part seems to be the radio, there are plenty of speaker systems.

But there was a link to it on Amazon.

Can the iPod not provide the radio?

No, can't find one - there was one for a cable he wanted, though.

No radio on the iPod Touch 2G as far as I know, and No WiFi available at Le Mans, where the Radio would be used.

I use a Sony TDM-IP 50 DMImport device for my 2400ES, it was £51 beats having a separate device, it has a very ZX81 style on screen menu though but I can watch video and listen to music slect what I want via the  amps remote control and its sounds great though the Pioneer speakers.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't
