I have tried to hide my email addy and it will not hide it...any suggestions

If you've chosen to hide it in your profile it is hidden, it's just that only you can still see it. It's not visible to me and wont be to any other user.

Do you mean that you have ticked the "hide" option on your profile, but when you view your profile it is still there?

I think that you can view your own profile, and see your addy, but other people can't see it, so no need to worry.

The guys will no doubt tell me if I'm wrong.

Welcome to the forum and becoming our 500th member.

If you see your email address on your profile but in italics it means that it is hidden from other members. Only if you see it in normal, ie roman, type is it visible to others.

Similarly, in your posts, you will see the envelope icon - so you can email yourself - but others will not see it.
