LCP up and down since around 5pm tonight.  Just can't seeem to hold the connx to IDNet for more than 5 minutes at a time.  Anyone else please?  My exchange is 01326 ...... down in Cornwall.

Gilba

No, mine seems ok. Have you tried a quick reboot of your router as mine does this occasionally.

Gilba's advice is good. Routers can just get 'confused' from time to time, and a re-boot will often fix issues.

Are you losing sync, or just LCP. If the former, the first thing to do is check your wiring. If the latter, you need to try another router or modem, to see if that eliminates the problem. If it doesn't, then call support (normal number, there is an 'out of hours' service), as it may be there's something wrong on the line.

Re-boot did the trick tks., usually have to revert to this.
LCP down is my usual prob., had a spate of it on Saturday mornings some time back .... I believe it was every Saturday for around 2+ months. Using netgear dg834G V2 btw and yes, software is up to date.  Most confusing!!

Is the router logging a loss of synchronisation?

Lost my logs on re-boot. I'll answer when things go t**ts up again.
Cheers.

That's the problem with re-boots - the router just isn't intelligent enough to preserve the logs. :(

We'll be here if you have any more problems...
