Hi everybody

A small question about my upload speed, which seems to be rather slow. I can't complain about my connection in general, it's reliable and I get a good downstream speed, idnet is good etc etc etc.. However, the upload is quite slow. I can't seem to push more than about 350kbps to anywhere. Here's what the router says:

DownStream Connection Speed    15766 kbps
UpStream Connection Speed    828 kbps

and the speedtest:

This is the same result I get day or night, rain or shine. I personally suspect there is some rate limitation going on because the download and upload graph (I use a program called DU Meter) literally flatlines perfectly in either direction. Some expert insight would be appreciated  :D

Can you run a BT speedtest, to see what your profile figures are? They may have got stuck for some reason.

You might have to kick it a few times to get it to work.

>Upload speed achieved during the test was - 402 Kbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 828 Kbps

Well, that knocks the stuck profile idea on the head >:(

There's something odd going on, your download speed is quite a bit slower than I would expect for that sync as well.

Have you tried the tbb speedtester?

I get much faster results with speedtest.net than with tbb (I suspect there's a routing oddity), I've never seen it the other way around but I suppose it could happen.

Otherwise I'm out of ideas, anyone else got a thought? :dunno:

I also get an upload notably under my profile, and have done for ages now. I have assumed it is 'normal'.

I have a 832 connection synced at such, and get ~0.54Mbit up (instead of 0.81).

(My download is 7.02Mbit out of the ADSL max of 7.1Mbit which I have always considered near enough the ideal perfect to be perfectly happy with; is it a similar situation with the upload?)
