More expensive?  I guess the retailers don't see it from the end customer's point of view, but if people started dropping retailers that used, say, Citylink, in favour of those that use Interlink, the point might be made that we don't have all day to wait in for deliveries.

Good idea, but if they are more pricey, we know from the broadband market that people will opt for cheap. :(

Found, from using a certain very well known online retailer, that Hermes are terrific. If you're out, the card that comes through the door has the mobile number of the driver on it. None of this faffing about with call centres nonsense. (Excepting the excellent IDNet one, natch.)

I think that is because the end delivery is by private individuals in their own vehicles tater than company employed delivery people.
