Avast

I use the free version of Avast and it's all I use. It's now asking me to register  to keep the free version, or buy it for £20. Will the free version give me everything I need, or will I be better of buying it.

The free version is absolutely fine, although I would try Microsoft security essentials instead.

am confused - it seems to be lots of programmes - its ok - found it. so just download it and deactivate avast ?

Tina, it's a free download http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/pc-security/mse.aspx it can be used in place of Avast.

Thanks - downloading it now. Just a tad worried about virus's after using Mac. will unistall avast then
